William Edwin Dohoney

Greenville, IN: William “Eddie Bill” Edwin Dohoney, age 82, passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Galena Indiana on May 17, 1940, to William Alfred and Loretta (Heinze) Dohoney. Bill married Evelyn (Siegle) Dohoney on September 1, 1967. He is a United States Air Force Veteran. Bill worked and retired from Phillip Morris Company as a Machine Operator. He enjoyed farming, fishing, hunting, golf, and mushroom picking. Bill never met a stranger, and loved spending time with his friends and family.

He is preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Juanita Lucille Yost; one brother, Benjamin Dohoney; two stepsons, Robert and Joseph Colomb.

Bill is survived by his wife; one son, William Scott; two step-daughters, Betty Lou (Danny) Peak, Melinda (Bob) Lutz; eight grandchildren; nine great- grandchildren; seven siblings, Arilla Katherine Brown, Stonewall Jackson (Joann) Dohoney, Douglas Arthur (Paulette) Dohoney, John Lloyd (Dorothy) Dohoney, Sue Ella (Clifton) Roberts, Judy Mae (Dennis) Paul, Robert Alfred (Lisa) Dohoney; as well as several nieces and nephews.   

Visitation will be from 12p.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday, December 08, 2022, at Love Funeral Home in Palmyra, IN. Funeral Service will be held on Friday December 09, 2022, at 10 a.m. In Lieu of flowers. Interment will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery in Mt. Washington KY. Donations can be made in Bill’s name to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
