Marjorie Lou (Howard) Marshall

Pekin, IN, Marjorie L. Marshall, 85, passed away Saturday August 15, 2020 at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, IN. She was born to James H. and Ethel (Wiley) Howard on June 02, 1935 in Bridgeport, KY. Marjorie married Richard W. Marshall on May 2, 1959. She was a member of the Martinsburg Church of Christ and a retired employee of the East Washington School Corporation. Marjorie was a 1954 graduate of Simpsonville High School in Simpsonville, KY, and she also attended secretarial school. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family and helping others.

Marjorie is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 59 years, as well as nine siblings.

She is survived by her daughter Kathy (Mark) Whitmire of Rochester, NY; two grandchildren, Paul Whitmire of Rochester, NY & Stephanie (Michael) Simmons of Ontario, NY; in-laws Audrey Howard of Nicholasville, KY, Ernest (Jean) Marshall of Clarksville, David (Hanna) Marshall of Greenville, Audrey (Albert) Will of Lexington, KY, Katherine Marshall of Palmyra; many nieces and nephews.

The family understands these are unique times.  We hope that before attending any in-person services you will consider your own health and well-being.

The funeral will be on Friday August 21, 2020 at the Martinsburg Church of Christ at 11 a.m.  Visitation will be at Love Funeral Home on Thursday August 20, 2020 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and at Martinsburg Church of Christ on Friday August 21, 2020 from 9 a.m. until time of service.
