James Leroy Gilbrech, age 60, of Palmyra, Indiana, passed away on April 13, 2024, leaving behind a tapestry of memories woven with love and laughter. Born on April 7, 1964, in Indianapolis, IN, he was welcomed into the world by his parents, Jimmie Gilbrech and Judith Hurin.
James found his calling on the open road, serving as a owner operator Truck Driver. On October 22, 1999, he joined in marriage with, Janet Lynn (Rothrock) Gilbrech, and together they forged a life rooted in companionship and shared dreams, residing in Palmyra, IN.
A steadfast pillar of faith, James found solace and community within the walls of Pleasant View Church of Christ in Mitchell, IN. Beyond his religious duties, James reveled in the simple pleasures of life. Whether it was engaging in lively conversations with neighbors, cruising the streets on his trusty scooter, or immersing himself in the nostalgia of 50's TV shows, James embraced each moment with an infectious enthusiasm.
His love for music knew no bounds, with the timeless melodies of Johnny Cash serving as a constant source of inspiration and comfort. Additionally, James found joy in cheering on the Indianapolis Colts, finding camaraderie and excitement in every game.
James is preceded in death, by his parents, and his dear brother, Timothy Gilbrech.
His memory lives on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know him. He leaves behind his devoted wife, Janet Gilbrech, whose unwavering love sustained him through life's journey; his cherished daughter, Jessica Gilbrech, who found love and support in the arms of Joseph Basham; his son, James Billy Gilbrech, who carries forth his father's legacy with pride; and his grandson, Gabriel Basham, a beacon of hope and joy.
In accordance with his wishes, James's earthly remains will be cremated, with Love Funeral Home entrusted with the honorable task of overseeing the services.
