Salem, IN, James “Jim” Michael Endris Sr., age 76, passed away on March 5th, 2021. He was born on May 13th, 1944 to Frank Leo Endris and Sarah Marie (Heilig) Endris. Jim married Esther (Yochum) Endris on July 31st, 1965, and were happily married for 56 years. He was a member and elder of Canton Christian Church. Jim worked in maintenance for several different health care facilities in Louisville, KY. Jim enjoyed fishing, bowling, camping and most importantly spending time with family.
He is preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Danny Endris; one grandchild, Dustin Hurst.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, James Michael Endris Jr., Jeffrey (Anna Marie) Frank Endris; one daughter, Ada (Will) Marie Hurst; eight grandchildren, Clayton Endris, Brennan Endris, Katelyn Endris, Nathaniel Endris, Cody Hurst, Wyatt Hurst, Tommy Hurst, Cordell Hurst; four great-grandchildren, Cole Endris, Aiden Hurst, Gunner Hurst, Clyde Hurst; one brother, Rick Endris; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 12p.m. on Thursday March 11th, 2021 at Canton Christian Church, located at 1352 N Canton Rd South Salem, IN 47167. Visitation will be held from 2p.m. to 8p.m. on Wednesday March 10th, 2021 at Love Funeral Home in Palmyra, IN and again on Thursday March 11th at the church from 10a.m. until time of service. Interment will be at Tunnel Hill Cemetery in Edwardsville, IN.
