Elmer Ray Sizemore

Palmyra, IN, Elmer Ray Sizemore, age 88, passed away peacefully at the Beehive Homes of Georgetown on Wednesday November 17, 2021. He was born on November 30, 1932 in Manchester, KY, to Henry J. and Grace Sizemore. Elmer married Frances (Holland) Sizemore on May 05, 1956. He was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church in Hardinsburg, IN. Elmer was a longtime resident of Palmyra, residing within the town for more than 57 years. He worked as a truck driver for several years. Elmer was an avid UK fan, enjoyed hunting, fishing and many outdoor activities. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Bernard Sizemore, Blevins Sizemore, Butler Sizemore, and Roland Collette.

Elmer is survived by his wife of sixty-five years Frances (Holland) Sizemore; two daughters, Diana (Pat) Cardwell, Hattie (Mike) Matherly; two sons, Thomas (Phyllis) Sizemore, Tony (Sara) Sizemore; one brother, Oliver (Donna) Sizemore; nine grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. on Monday November 22, 2021 at Love Funeral Home in Palmyra, IN. Visitation will be held on Sunday November 21, 2021 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.  and again on Monday November 22, from 10 a.m. until time of service, at Love Funeral Home.
