Pekin, IN, David Wayne Humphrey, age 64, passed away on January 10, 2023 at St Vincent Salem Hospital in Salem, IN. He was born on March 02, 1958 in Louisville, KY, to Aubrey Gilbert and Mary Elizabeth (Woods) Humphrey. David Married Renee Humphrey on August 17, 2001. He had worked many years as a plumber for Drexler Plumbing Company. David was a United States Army Veteran. He enjoyed airplanes, fishing, guns, and spending time with his friends and family.
David is preceded in death by his parents; one sister Bettie; and one brother, Paul.
He is survived by his wife; one daughter, Jennifer (Corey) Calibuso; seven sons, Jesse (Jess) Tyson, Brian Humphrey, Bill (Latricia) Humphrey, Daniel Humphrey, Michael Alcorn, Scott Alcorn, Mark Alcorn; seventeen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Barbara Morgan, Ann Humphrey; four nephews, James Thomas, Gary Thomas, Brad Clark, Michael Morgan; as well as two faithful companions “Simba” and “Shadow” his beloved cats.
Cremation was chosen by the family. Love Funeral Home in Palmyra, IN, is in charge of arrangements.
