Asa Joseph Wingler, 45, of Palmyra, Indiana, passed away on April 9, 2026, at University of Louisville Hospital.
Asa was born on August 9, 1980, to Joe Wingler of Palmyra, Indiana. He was a lifelong resident of Palmyra, where he passionately enjoyed tractor pulls, farming, and spending time outdoors-interests he shared with his father. Asa was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Bradford, Indiana. He graduated from North Harrison High School in the class of 1999 and went on to build a career in concrete finishing.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Wingler; his grandparents, Asa and Loretta Wingler; and his aunts, Martha Jane Wingler and Linda (John) Smith.
Asa is survived by his wife, Courtney Wingler; his children, Brady (Camissa) Benskin, Jaden Wingler (Nick Cundiff); Brogan and Tynslee. He is also survived by his sisters, Debbie (David) Parsons and Teresa (Dan) Limon; his aunt, Mary Ann O’Brien; his nieces, Hailee Parsons, Kacee Limon, and Aleah Parris; and his nephews, Kyle Parsons, Joe Limon, and Braxton Parris. He also leaves behind three grandchildren, Brynlee Benskin, Colsen Benskin, and Owen Cundiff, as well as lifelong friend Mike (Dusty) Smith.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 14th, at Love Funeral Home in Palmyra, Indiana, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and again on Wednesday, April 15th, from 9:00 AM until 10:30 AM at the funeral home.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, 11400 Farmers Lane NE, Greenville, Indiana 47124.
