Ivan Donald Arbuckle

Ivan Donald Arbuckle, age 84, of Depauw, IN, passed away on April 16, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. He was born on September 20, 1939, to Richard Harris and Leota Gayle (Loyd) Arbuckle in Depauw, IN. Ivan's journey through life was marked by dedication, hard work, and a profound love for his family and his farm.

After graduating from North Central High School in Ramsey, IN, as part of the class of 1957, Ivan embarked on a career as a Machinist and retired from American Synthetic Rubber. His work supported his true passion - the care of his farm and cattle, where he found solace and fulfillment.

On June 16, 1961, Ivan exchanged vows with his beloved Vivian Caroline (Watson) Arbuckle, beginning a journey of love and companionship that lasted a lifetime. Together, they made their home in Depauw, IN, nurturing their family and building a life filled with joy and contentment.

Ivan was a member of the Angus association, reflecting his commitment to his agricultural roots. He found enjoyment in the simple pleasures of life, whether it was quail hunting, playing Euchre, engaging in card games on his computer, tossing horseshoes, or simply basking in the tranquility of his farm.

He is preceded in death by his, wife, his parents, his son Donald Wayne Arbuckle, and his siblings: Pauline (Thad) Mullin, Orval "Bud" (Ethel) Arbuckle,  Margie (Robert) Thompson, and Pat Wernert.

Ivan leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion, survived by his sons Joe Anthony (Tisha) Arbuckle, Brian Gene (Cindi) Arbuckle, Michael Ivan (Debbie) Arbuckle, Gregory Keith (Diana) Arbuckle, and Scott G. Arbuckle. Additionally, he leaves behind seventeen grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, multiple nieces and nephews, as well as the fond memories shared with Pats husband Uncle Melvin.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during visitation hours at Love Funeral Home in Palmyra, IN, from 4 pm to 8 pm on Friday, April 19, 2024, and again on Saturday, April 20, 2024, from 10 am to 12 pm.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at 12 pm, celebrating Ivan's life and the impact he had on those around him. Following the service, Ivan will be laid to rest next to his beloved wife Vivian and son Donald, in the Palmyra Cemetery.
