Bonnie Lou (Patton) Doan, age 81, of Hardinsburg, IN, peacefully passed away on February 8, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 16, 1942, to Harold and Alice Patton in Livonia, IN. Bonnie was a dedicated homemaker and a beacon of love in her family. On June 15, 1959, she married the love of her life, Milton Wayne Doan, and together they built a life in Hardinsburg, IN.
Bonnie found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life, particularly in being a devoted mother and wife. She cherished moments spent with her family above all else. Her hobbies included quilting, mushroom hunting, and cooking delicious meals for her loved ones.
Bonnie is preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Alice Patton, as well as six siblings: Robert Eugene Patton, Ivan Richard Patton, Marvin Wayne Patton, Connie Sue Patton, Roger Cleates Patton, and Jerry Lee Patton. She was also preceded in death by one grandchild, Travis Wayne Doan.
She is survived by her loving husband, Milton Wayne Doan; her daughter, Tina Lavita Jennings; her son, Dale (Marilyn) Doan; her sisters, Donna Jean (Ronnie) McCabe and Sandra Kay (Jess) Blount; her brothers, Ronald David (Cindy) Patton and Terry Patton; six grandchildren: Billy June Jennings, Jason Mark Jennings, Bradley Milton Jennings, Sarah Marie (Chris) Jetter, and Christopher Wayne (Lynndsay Brook) Doan; as well as eight great-grandchildren, with one more on the way.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the visitation, which will be held from 10 am to 12 pm on Thursday, February 15, 2024, at Love Funeral Home in Palmyra, IN. A memorial service will follow at 1 pm on the same day.
Cremation was chosen as per Bonnie's wishes, with Love Funeral Home entrusted with the arrangements for the memorial services. Bonnie's legacy of love, warmth, and devotion will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew her. May she rest in peace.
